# Connections

> Team-scoped app connections — OAuth via Composio plus first-party MCP integrations.

A connection is an authorization grant that lets your workflows act on behalf of your team in an external app — Gmail, Notion, Slack, HubSpot, Linear, Attio, and more. Connections are shared: connect once from the **Apps** page, and every team member's workflows can use it.

## Where connections live

Open **Apps** from the sidebar (`/{slug}/apps`) to see every connectable app, its status, and a connect / disconnect button. The older `Settings → Connections` path still works — it redirects to **Apps**.

## Two connection sources

All connections are stored in one table, `provider_connections`, with a `source` field that routes everything:

| Source | What it is | Examples |
| - | - | - |
| `composio` | OAuth grants brokered by [Composio](https://composio.dev) | Gmail, Notion, Slack, HubSpot, Linear, Airtable, GitHub, Zendesk, Calendly, Zoom, LinkedIn, Google Workspace |
| `first_party_mcp` | A direct OAuth + MCP integration CelerFlow runs itself | Attio |

Disconnecting deletes the row — there's no revoked-but-remembered state. You can always reconnect from a clean slate. Connection membership is team-level, so you don't need to reconnect when a colleague joins.

## Connecting an app

**1. Open Apps**

Select **Apps** from the sidebar. See [Settings](https://docs.celerflow.ai/dashboard/settings.md) for the surrounding navigation.

**2. Click Connect**

Click **Connect** next to the app you want to add. CelerFlow starts the OAuth flow for that source.

**3. Complete OAuth**

A popup opens the provider's consent screen. Authorize access and the popup closes.

**4. Wait for confirmation**

The card polls for status until the account reports as active, then flips to **Connected** — usually within a few seconds.

## Stale and deleted connections

If a provider reports that an account no longer exists (a confirmed `404`), the card collapses to a `missing` / `not_connected` state and you'll need to reconnect.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Transient errors (timeouts, 5xx) do **not** silently disconnect an app. The card keeps treating it as valid. Only a confirmed not-found triggers the missing state.

## Platform-managed capabilities

Some capabilities don't require a connection at all. Web search and page extraction (Firecrawl, Tavily) are **platform-managed** — CelerFlow owns the credentials and billing, so the Planner can always use them without any team setup. See [Integrations — Firecrawl](https://docs.celerflow.ai/integration/firecrawl.md).

## Supported integrations

Apps the Planner can use today (the connectable set grows over time):

* **Communication & delivery** — [Gmail](https://docs.celerflow.ai/integration/gmail.md), [Slack](https://docs.celerflow.ai/integration/slack.md)
* **Docs & knowledge** — [Notion](https://docs.celerflow.ai/integration/notion.md), Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Airtable
* **CRM & sales** — [HubSpot](https://docs.celerflow.ai/integration/hubspot.md), [Attio](https://docs.celerflow.ai/integration/attio.md)
* **Dev & project** — Linear, GitHub
* **Scheduling & support** — Google Calendar, Calendly, Zoom, Zendesk
* **Web** — [Firecrawl](https://docs.celerflow.ai/integration/firecrawl.md) (platform-managed)

The [Planner](https://docs.celerflow.ai/concepts/planner.md) surfaces a connection card in chat if a workflow step needs an app that isn't connected yet — you can connect it in place without leaving the conversation.
